01.>>>>Parlamentul Roman vs Europa
…(eDemocratie.ro: 19/04/2004)
Cu cateva saptamani in urma, eDemocratie.ro publica un raport
privind
modul de utilizare a emailului de catre parlamentarii romani:
doar un
sfert din parlamentari au adrese de email, iar dintre acestia
mai putin
de 9% raspund la solicitarile primite prin email. Un studiu
similar
efectuat recent in statele UE (inclusiv cele zece state ce vor
adera la
1 mai) arunca o lumina si mai sumbra asupra tarii noastre.

…(Reuters: 19/04/2004)
Four Nordic countries are the Web-savviest nations in the world
and,
together with the United Kingdom, pushed the United States out
of the
top five, a survey found on Monday. Denmark was more aggressive
than any
other country in taking advantage of the Internet, according
to research
carried out by U.S. computer company International Business
Machines and
the intelligence unit of British magazine The Economist.

08.>>>>UK Government looking for e-government intermediaries
…(eGovernment News: 14/04/2004)
The UK Office of the e-Envoy (OeE) has taken another step towards
the
creation of a “mixed economy” in the delivery of e-government
services
by inviting potential intermediaries in the private and voluntary
sectors to come forward with proposals. The OeE published in
mid-March
2004 a notice in the Official Journal of the European Union
(OJEU)
advertising the Government’s policy regarding e-government
intermediation and inviting interested parties to “familiarise
themselves with the policy framework and guidelines” and to
submit
intermediation proposals.

09.>>>>Nation quickens spread of e-gov't
…(People’s Daily: 05/04/2004)
The government staff still love to work in the real world despite
mounting calls for e-government services. A State Council report
shows
that government services are still delivered mainly face-to-face
or on
paper, despite the mushrooming number of governmental websites
in recent
years. The findings obtained after a three-month study show
that only
5.2 per cent of China's government websites are frequently used.
