Īn perioada 29-30 mai 2003 se desfasoara la Sofia un forum national
avānd ca tema principala reforma administratiei de stat din
Bulgaria. Forumul este organizat de Ministerul Administratiei
de Stat al Republicii Bulgaria si beneficiaza de prezenta reprezentantilor
administratiei de la toate nivelurile din statul vecin.

The Bavarian city of Munich is likely to migrate its 14,000
workstations to Linux and an open source office suite in a deal
which value is worth double-digit millions of euros. This is
at least the wish of the Social Democratic (SPD) and Green municipal
groups, which hold the majority in the Council of Germany's
third-largest city.

Latin America seems like it's a world away, but use of free/libre
and open-source software (FLOSS) there is growing much like
it is in South Asia and, arguably, better. Recently, a study
of FLOSS in Latin America pointed to the contribution of GNOME
(started in 1997 by Mexican developer Miguel de Icaza), Brazil's
Sourceforge-like Codigolivre.org.br portal site, the simple
UTUTO distribution from Argentina and the popular PHP-Nuke content
management system from Francisco Burzi of Venezuela.

6,200 Danes chose to correct or approve their revised annual
tax statements over the internet using Denmark's official Digital
Signature. The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation,
the institution responsible for the digital signature, is happy
with the figures as people could just as easily have chosen
to use other methods, such as the phone.

users in Pakistan with immediate effect.
The Block on SA Tribune Web Site has been placed by PTCL's Pakistan
Internet Exchange (PIE) which provides full circuit international
Internet bandwidth to customers all over Pakistan on the STM-1
connectivity leased from SingTel via SMW3 Optical Fiber link
from Karachi to New York.

Proposals under the eTEN Programme for projects of common interest
in the field of trans-European telecommunications networks.

In a move designed to give a decisive push to the diffusion
of the electronic ID card and to increase the take-up of e-government
services, the Italian Ministries of Innovation and Technology

interoperability of the cards distributed across the whole Italian
territory.
