În cadrul sedintei de guvern din data de 18 aprilie 2003 a fost
aprobata Hotarîrea privind adaugarea Departamentului pentru
armamente din cadrul Ministerului Apararii Nationale pe lista
autoritatilor contractante care au obligatia de a utiliza www.e-licitatie.ro.
De asemenea, la cererea Ministerului Agriculturii, Alimentatiei
si Padurilor, pesticidele si tratamentele fitosanitare vor fi
adaugate produselor care sunt achizitionate prin licitatie electronica.

03. Numărul atacurilor pe Internet este în crestere

Expertii de la Internet Security Systems (IIS) au realizat un
raport referitor la atacurile existente pe Internet care au
avut loc în primul trimestru al anului 2003. Se pare că în primele
trei luni ale anului au existat aproximativ 160,5 de milioane
de atacuri, de 10 ori mai mult fată de ultimul trimestru al
anului trecut. Din punct de vedere statistic numărul atacurilor
a crescut cu 84%. IIS a declarata că acestă crestere s-a datorat
în mare parte aparitiei unui număr mare de virusi noi.

The UK's Office of Government Commerce (OGC) has established
a new e-procurement system based on the open source operating
system Linux. The system, called Purchase & Pay, is designed
to allow public sector bodies to buy products in a more cost-effective

14. Belgium converts to e-Tax

Belgium - eServices for Citizens Belgium has become the latest
European country to convert to e-Tax. The federal Finance Minister
Didier Reynders presented on 9/04/2003 the "Tax-on-web" application,
which will allow Belgian residents to file their tax returns
online as of this year.
